BSU Football FAQs for Families (directly from a BSU Athletics staff member)

1) How do I see the schedule?

You can view the Boise State football schedule here.

2) How do I buy tickets?

Purchase your tickets through the Boise State ticket office here.

3) Are there recommended spots for families to sit?

The west side of the stadium offers more concourse space, is close to concessions and bathrooms, and is farther away from the band which can get super loud.

4) Do I need a ticket for my baby or toddler?

Children 2 and under don’t need a ticket as long as they sit on your lap and don’t take up an additional seat.

5) Are there discounted tickets for students or kids?

There aren’t general discounts for kids, but promotions are often available through local schools and youth sports programs, so keep an eye out for special offers!

6) Where do we park? Is there a shuttle?

The Brady Parking Garage on the west end of campus is a great option for families. It’s less busy than stadium lots, doesn’t usually sell out, and you can either walk or take a shuttle to the stadium.

7) What time should we arrive?

Arriving at least an hour before kickoff is a good idea to find a parking spot, catch pregame festivities, go through security and find your seats without rushing.

8) Are there family-friendly events before the game?

Yes! The Ford Fan Zone, located on the southwest corner of the stadium, is a giant pregame party. It includes a Kids Zone with games, face painting, inflatables, and opportunities to meet student-athletes.

9) What should we wear?

Bronco Nation loves to color coordinate! Check the game-specific color scheme here to make sure your family is decked out in the right colors.

10) What concessions are available? Can we bring outside food or drink?

The stadium doesn’t allow outside food and drinks. However, there are plenty of food options, including food trucks in Bronco Alley on the east side of the stadium.

11) Can I bring a diaper bag?

You can carry a diaper bag, but it will be looked through and tagged separately. Otherwise bags must adhere to the stadium’s “Clear Bag” policy. Details found here.

12) Can I bring a stroller?  A baby carrier?

Check strollers at the Caven-Williams Indoor Practice Facility, located on the northwest side of the stadium. Wearable carriers are fine, but if it has pockets then it may be searched.

13) Are there changing tables in the bathrooms?  A private place to nurse?

Changing stations are located in all bathrooms on the main concourse level of the stadium and there is a single-use/family restroom located on the upper west concourse across from concessions behind section 9 and section 10. Need to nurse or a quiet place to go with your baby? There is a number for patrons to text and they will have a member of their staff escort them to a private room indoors.

14) Should I bring ear protection for my kids?

The crowd can get loud, especially with Bronco Nation’s tradition of making it tough for visiting teams. Ear muffs or earplugs are a good idea for younger children.

15) How long are the games?

Games typically last around 3 hours.

16) Are there any special game day traditions?

Boise State fans are treated to a stunning light show with the stadium’s multi-color lighting system for night games—a must-see for families who can stay up for it!

17) What is Buster’s Kids Club?

For just $25, Buster’s Kids Club includes a membership box of goodies (Pencil Pouch, Metal Wall Sign, and 6″ Plushie) and “Free Admission to Home Men’s Basketball Regular Season Games for ticket claim (subject to availability), Free Admission to all Home Soccer, Volleyball, Women’s Basketball, Gymnastics, Softball Regular Season Events.” Buster’s Kids Club Membership is for children 12 and under. You will receive a digital ID card that can be used for admission to all ticketed Olympic sports, all year long! (Note: membership no longer includes a football game ticket.)

18) Are there game-watching locations if we can’t attend the game?

Most local restaurants show Boise State games, but it’s always a good idea to call ahead to confirm.

19) Is it worth going to campus on game day without tickets?

For young families, it may not be the best option. The area around the stadium gets very busy and may be overwhelming for little ones.

20) Can we bring blankets or stadium cushions?

As long as they’re under 18″ wide, cushions/chairback seats are allowed. (Also note that if you bring your own stadium seat you will go in a different screening line.) There are rentals available!
