Happening June 26 & 27, the biggest event in Eagle fully returns to downtown this year.

Don’t miss the Kick Off Party and Family Fun Night on Friday, June 26 from 5pm to 8pm. The Kick Off Party with live music, food and drinks will be at Heritage Park. And Family Fun Night KID ZONE with inflatable rides, splash zone, and food trucks will be at Eagle City Hall.

Then make your way back for the main event on Saturday, June 27, beginning at 11am there will be music, a market, and food at Heritage Park. The KID ZONE rides continue all day at Eagle City Hall, and of course the PARADE at 1pm! We’re celebrating America 250 this year, so wear red, white, and blue and don’t forget your towel for the WET N’ WILD portion!

The IDAH2O program trains adult volunteers to monitor water quality in local streams. This workshop includes a 3-hour pre-class online session and a 4-hour hands-on field session in the stream. Learn about habitat, biological, chemical and physical stream assessments and become a certified IDAH2O Master Water Steward. Professional development credit available for educators.

Links to the online learning portion will be emailed in advance of the in-person practicum. Dress for wading in a stream; boots or waders encouraged. Bring water, sunscreen and a camp chair.

History’s never been this fun (or delicious). Join us for an afternoon of free pizza, good vibes, and a fun walk through the past and present as part of Civic Season, a national movement led by Made By Us that takes place between Juneteenth and July 4th.

In partnership with the Wassmuth Center for Human Rights, Erma Hayman House, James Castle House, and Boise Public Library, this experience offers much more than a typical history lesson.

Participants will follow a map across three downtown Boise sites: the Idaho State Museum, Wassmuth Center featuring the Boise Public Library, and Erma Hayman House featuring the James Castle House. At each stop, you’ll complete hands-on activities and challenges inspired by history, community, and civic engagement.

Start your journey at the Idaho State Museum at one of the timed entry slots, grab your map, and begin the challenge. Complete activities at all three locations to earn your way to the final stop: a free pizza party in Payette Brewing’s beer garden. Drinks will be available for purchase, but pizza and good vibes are on us.

This is a great opportunity to meet new people while exploring Boise’s cultural and historic sites in a whole new way!

Starting June 2, we’re launching our Tuesday Night Market. A 10 week series packed with local businesses, live music, food trucks, drinks, and all the good summer night energy.

Shop from a variety of local businesses featuring everything from apothecary goods and handmade jewelry to clothing, crafts, treats, trinkets, novelty finds, and more while enjoying tunes from live music all night long.

Free Community Event: Get comfortable walking your dog around the neighborhood with this interactive group lesson. Dog trainer, Alicia Desantiago of Psyche K9, will focus on effective leash training techniques and provide one-on-one pointers for you and your pup.

This week we'll be meeting at The Boise WaterShed! NOTE: We will be meeting at the WaterShed, sharing a story, and then bussing to the Boise River. After our walk, we will bus back to the WaterShed to enjoy the outdoor nature play exhibits. 

Come explore some of Boise's beautiful paths and trails! Each week, library staff will share a story and lead participants on a short walk through nature.

NOTE: This walk is stroller friendly. There is an opportunity to get our feet wet, so wear water shoes if you want! The Melba “Olde Tyme” 4th of July is gearing up for another year. The 2026 theme is “Spirit of 1776: Celebrating 250 Years of Freedom”.
