The BEST Splash Pads in the Treasure Valley

The Treasure Valley has some great options for cooling off in the water this summer! We’ve compiled a list of the best splash pads in the Treasure Valley that are great for the whole family on the upcoming hot days of summer. Many of the splash pads are close to public pools, picnic areas, and great parks with a nice open field or a play structure or two.  All of them have a variety of water features so the whole family will have a good time during the summer months!

BOISE:

Ann Morrison Park

Notes: “The Ann Morrison Park fountain renovation project is an exciting update to one of the premier features in this beloved Boise park. The aging raised fountain was removed and replaced with a ground level water tunnel that is interactive and accessible for people of all ages and abilities. It’s a high-tech marvel with over 10 miles of electrical wiring routed through more than 240 conduits for operation! It opens May 31, 2023.” The park is just off the Boise River Greenbelt.

Borah Park

Notes: “The spray pad has various water features for kids of all ages. Open daily from 10 a.m.- 8 p.m. Memorial Day through Labor Day. There is no admission fee for the spray pad. It is located in the park north of the main pool entrance.”

Comba Park

Notes: “Splash pad is open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Memorial Day to Labor Day. Site includes three ground sprays, a dumping bucket and a 36-inch orb.”

Grove Plaza

Molenaar Splash Pad

Notes: This new interactive fountain splash pad opened May 24, 2023! It’s a great spot to just cool off your feet or hands or go “all out” and run through!

Notes: While not a traditional splash pad, it’s a great place to splash around. There are a few life jackets available on site but if you plan to go deep or are nervous about kids around the water, be sure to bring your own! According to the website, “Life jackets are strongly recommended for anyone swimming in or paddling at the pond. No lifeguards are on duty.”

MERIDIAN:
