Looking for more than just a typical summer camp? Introduce your child to STRÖVA—an 11-week “Urban Citizen Project” designed specifically for school-aged kids (Grades K–6).

Based out of our downtown Boise hub, STRÖVA (Swedish for “to roam”) turns the city into a living classroom. In an era of digital distraction and over-supervision, Ströva Summer Camps is returning to what children actually need: the freedom to explore, the responsibility to try, and the security of a community that trusts them.

The STRÖVA Way
70% Outdoor Time: Rain or shine, we roam. Daily expeditions build resilience and a deep connection to our local environment.

Scandinavian Roots: Inspired by Friluftsliv (open-air life) and Samarbete (teamwork), we focus on wellbeing and cooperation.

Civic Exploration: From the historic Basque Block to the Boise River, kids engage with the culture and history of their own city.

The “Hub”: Our downtown space at 510 S 11th St serves as our home base for smoky days.

A Day in the Life of a Wayfinder
Morning Hygge: Soft start with sketching, field journals, building, or reading.

The Expedition: Morning treks to the Greenbelt, museums, or local urban landmarks.

Horizontal Time: A restorative 20 minutes of cloud-watching or reading after lunch.

The Maker Session: Afternoon creative work at the Hub using upcycled materials and nature finds.
