Families across Idaho can choose from two unique summer camp pathways designed to provide meaningful outdoor experiences, personal growth, and lasting memories.
Both programs offer a wide range of activities, including team-building, mountain biking, sports courts, canoeing, backpacking, hiking, swimming, archery, nature labs, crafts, campfires, stargazing, and journaling. Campers also learn Leave No Trace ethics and participate in low-ropes and team challenges that build confidence and connection.
These camps operate as ACA-accredited site, upholding national safety standards. Staff complete more than 100 hours of training, including Wilderness First Aid, CPR, small-watercraft safety, youth mental health first aid, and trauma-informed care. Comprehensive background checks and intentional hiring practices ensure a diverse, compassionate, and highly trained team dedicated to camper safety, well-being, and growth. Scholarships are available for all programs.
Camp Alturas is an intentionally secular, four-day mountain program located at Lake Alturas that focuses on character development. Through guided outdoor learning, team challenges, a midweek overnight backpacking experience, and daily reflection, campers build resilience, responsibility, teamwork, kindness, and environmental stewardship.
Luther Heights faith-based camps offer week-long, grade-specific programs centered on worship, Bible study, and Christian values. Through small-group discipleship, community-building, and leadership opportunities such as the Leader-in-Training program, campers deepen their faith while developing leadership skills and a strong sense of belonging.
