HAWKs Kids (Hiking Adventures With Kids) is a nature-based outdoor education program where children hike, explore, and fall in love with the natural world through child-led discovery.
Serving the Meridian, Kuna, and Eagle communities, our summer camps turn the Treasure Valley’s parks, foothills, and riverways into outdoor classrooms — experienced naturalist educators guide small groups of explorers ages 5–12 as they learn local wildlife, build trail skills, play, and grow confidence outdoors.
Camps are intentionally screen-free, and every day brings a new mix of hiking, hands-on nature activities, games, journaling, and unstructured play.
Camps run as drop-off programs across a rotating set of local parks and green spaces, with the day’s exact location and a map link sent to families before each session — and round-trip Venture Van transportation is offered as an option with every camp. Safety is the foundation: we cap groups at 7 explorers per educator, run at least two educators per group, and our team is background-checked and certified in Wilderness First Aid, CPR, and EpiPen administration.
