Want your family to have fun while getting a little fancy? Do something unique and memorable? Attend the Summer Concerts at the Chateau with the Boise Baroque Orchestra! This yearly, three concert series happens in late August/early September at the magnificent Chateau des Fleurs in Eagle, Idaho. Your family is going to love it!
A Family-Friendly Event
When our family attended, I was surprised at just how family-friendly the event was. Not only is it an amazing opportunity to introduce your children to orchestra music but it’s a fun family experience that will be sure to make your top memory list for the summer!

What to Expect
Guests can enter the space and have fun together enjoying yard games like cornhole, croquet, and badminton and take leisurely strolls (or more likely runs if you’re my kiddos) through the Chateau’s enchanting gardens. Be sure to explore the “instrument petting zoo” where your kids can have a blast touching and playing with various instruments provided by Dunkley Music. Isn’t that such a fun idea? They also have coloring sheet programs available at every show to engage the kids during the concert.
Looking for a date night instead? The children’s area of the concerts is located on one side of the gardens and there’s an adults section on the other side. Put the kids to bed, say good-bye to the babysitter and head out to the Chateau for a magical evening with your partner.
You’re welcome to bring your own food and non-alcoholic beverages for a lovely picnic on the lawn. Strollers and wagons are welcome! The Chateau also offers a variety of food and drinks for purchase. To truly appreciate the beauty of the Chateau, take a virtual tour here.
